Reminds of the Kessel situation, where the stupid media blamed him for TOs woes. He was traded to the Pens and dominated in the playoffs and won the cup in his first season with them. Meanwhile, TO finished dead last the year he was traded. Ovi is the greatest natural goal scorer of the modern era. He's a big guy with tons of skill and firepower. He wasn't the reason they lost. Pittsburg is their weakness. Some teams just struggle historically against certain other teams, such as Toronto and Boston vs Montreal. They made a valiant comeback effort but Fleury played incredible and Holtby had his worst playoff round in his career.

    Better trade Trotz

You people are missing the point here…Ovi is going to only decline from here on out and it's just not going to work out with the Caps. He may be the best goal scorer in the league, but that doesn't matter if the Capitals can't win a cup. They will lose several players this offseason, and trading Ovi to a contender for some really good young talent would be a very bright idea while he still has a lot of value. The Capitals have to shake things up.

If he wants to win a cup he needs to request a trade to a team that has the chance to do so

No way in Hell is this happening. IF Washington does trade Ovi (and that's a BIG if), I highly doubt it's to Vegas. Vegas cannot give Washington anywhere near what he's worth. Not right now.

Besides, Ovechkin isn't why the Capitals can't make it past the second round. He's the best goal scorer in the game. The Capitals need to stop worrying about getting the President's Trophy and start worrying about playing playoff hockey before the season ends. A #1 Seed doesn't matter if you choke in the playoffs. The Capitals need to start realizing that and start playing playoff hockey well before the playoffs even start.

Capitals won't win a cup anytime soon if they trade Ovi unless it's a deal that's too good to be true.

you couldn't possibly trade Ovechkin. who would want him and that awful contract? he's more likely to go to the KHL than be traded within the NHL.

Ovi is going to play in the khl. Think about it, home country and he gets to play in the Olympics

    May 18, 2017 at 10:02 am

Everyone is forgetting one thing, Ovi may be the best league goal scorer during the season, but when post season comes, he drops off immediately and gets invisible more frequently. I really think Caps will be better off if they trade him for a good piece. As for a new 60p sniper and a very good 3rd line shutdown c

As a caps fan I think it's time for a complete squad wipe. No matter how good our players are individually, they aren't getting it done. Even though I wanted to see ovi lift the cup, I just don't ever see it happening

  • Brandon Giannascoli

    May 18, 2017 at 10:02 am

Let's say they wanted to trade ovi which is highly improbable, he has a No trade clause why would he want to go to Vegas when he's in his 30's?????

People who still think Ovechkin is the best goal scorer need a reality check, he score 30 goals this season and he's over 30 years old he's past his prime what you see is what you get a 60point Player

  • Jerich0

    May 18, 2017 at 10:02 am

Who is going to take on 32year old ovechkin at 9million!? No team in the nhl trades for him! He got 60points! Was a 3rd liner… he isn't the elite player anymore sorry

Alternatively, sit-down and have her exactly what the dilemma is and how you are able to speak about it and discover a solution together. Then sit back to discuss these concerns. Make an effort to Recognize Her Viewpoint Understanding how to respect the truth that those may be different from your own can help heal the connection. Roleplaying often helps comprehend the other person’s point of view. This often offers insight into the additional person’s feelings and thought processes. Particularly when you disagree on fundamental details and values, it may work to sit along and examine each pointofview. For instance, for those who have been requiring and she thinks pushed, you might be ready to discover a middleground where you both feel comfy and experience loved. Essentially, you will find a remedy to your distinctions together, but sometimes external support is crucial.
